The Nature of Energy (as I see it)

I love energy. I really do.

When I looked up the word ‘energy’ in Websters Dictionary,

I found 10 different meanings applied to this one word.

Some of the entries even used the word ‘energy’ within its definition.

In science, energy is a word that is used to describe how much potential a system has to change.

There it is. That’s all.

Potential to change.

This was a game changer for me. Like everyone else, there were things about me that I wanted to improve upon, change if I could or just accept.

Lets go further; in physics, it is a property of matter. The device you are reading this on is matter. So is the chair you may be sitting on; the clothes you are wearing and the food you are eating. They are all matter and making up that matter is energy.

You are matter and so are your thoughts. Here is the mathematician in me coming forth now;

Matter = Energy

Thoughts = Matter

therefore Thoughts = Matter = Energy

It gets even better.

Energy can be transferred between objects and converted in form; flowing water to electrical power to

light your home; food to power your body; one hand holding another to warm it. My earliest memory of energy transfer was when I poked my finger in an electrical outlet- transfer AND transformation!

Energy cannot be created or destroyed ; it can only change form.

Scientists know this - that energy can be made into matter and vice versa.

So that is energy from a scientific perspective and that is where I began my journey.

We are and always will be energy; from the farthest reaches of the universe to the tiniest organism on our planet, energy flows through us and around us from one object to another and, yes, from one living being to another.

And this is just the beginning………

You are energy and you have the potential to change.
