Personal Year

Hey there, fellow quarant-inmates.

As I sit here, trying to think of inspiring things to say about spending more time at home, I realize that I probably can't add anything that already hasn't been posted, video'ed or put into song on social media.

Instead, I'll write about the number 4.

Lots of great things come in 4's.

Four elements; earth, air, water and fire

Four seasons

Four points of a compass

Four legs on a table or chair

Four leaf clover

The Fantastic Four

Four is also the Universal Year Number of this year, 2020.

We get this number by adding together the numbers of this particular year:

2+0+2+0 = 4

In numerology, 4 is the number of stability, putting ideas into form and building for the future. Four needs system and procedures in order to make stuff happen. It is about substance and all things earthly.

Tell 4 to build a house from a field of rocks and they will roll up their sleeves and build that house - one rock at a time for as long as it takes, but only because that house provides safety from danger and shelter from storms.

But.......

left unchecked, this quest for safety and security, both physical and financial, can lead to a single-minded stubborness where everybody else is wrong and you are right. Where is the fun? Life can't be all drudgery.

We are hip deep in four this year and if feels like we are wading through ______________(fill in the blank).

If the vibration of 4 tells us anything, though, it tells us to not give up. We have work to do for sure and it's not a quick and easy fix but with patience, perseverance and some lightness of heart, the job will get done and our hard work will pay off with a new security and a return of a sense of stability.

The light at the end of the tunnel?

Next year, 2021, is a Universal Year 5.
