What You See Is What You Get

I bet you visualize everyday and don't even know it. In fact, I know you do.

Think about it. If you are waiting for the bus, maybe you imagine the bus arriving on time. Maybe you imagine getting into your favourite seat and having no traffic slowing you down? Congratulations, you just visualizedAnyone can do it
This is a pretty handy tool to have because it can be used for just about everything.
The best part is, by anyone I mean you!

Now, visualization is not meditation, but guided meditation can and does incorporate visualization and what you visualize is important.
After all, visualization is thought - thoughts are energy - energy becomes things (matter is made of energy).
The saying, 'be careful what you wish for' is both a statement and a caution.
Visualization is used in medicine in different ways, such as biofeedback, physiotherapy and even control of nausea and vomiting.
Like a dog spotting a squirrel, I digress.
One of my favourite ways to use visualization is in mini-meditations throughout my day. One of the pieces of the pie that make up my life is my practice as a pharmacist. A rose by any other name is still a Healer.
Pharmacist may mean healer, but like many other careers out there, it also means stress!
While it is impossible to take 15 minutes to meditate on the job, it is possible for me to take a couple of minutes to reground and recentre myself.
If I can do it, so can you.
The recipe to reground and recentre is a simple one:
Breath
Visualization
Wanting it
