Breaking Up is Hard to Do

Like many people these days, my husband and I are downsizing our home and preparing to move.

We are not hoarders by any stretch of the imagination and I welcome any opportunity to declutter and simplify my lifestyle.

But

Furniture is being moved, things long forgotten, rediscovered and memories rekindled. The energetic pot is being stirred and some stagnant stuff is getting released.

Here I am, caught between, purging my posessions.....what still brings me joy and what no longer brings me joy. Ah, the memories. I love those memories so I say thanks for the memories and release the objects.

As the clock ticks, I need to declutter, prepare this home for sale and still find time for myself.

I need balance and I need it fast.

My Tarot card for the day is the Death card; change is in the air and to allow transition means letting go.

When one door closes, another door opens.

Okay, now that I know where I need to go, how do I get there?

I roll up my sleeves, breath deeply and prepare to work hard.

As I face my past and my memories, old emotions wash over a version of me that is older, hopefully wiser, and yet suddenly younger again. Wow. Talk about time travel.

The beautiful thing about Reiki is that it can help me smooth out all these swirling emotions, both in the past as well as in the present. Heal a past wound? Sure thing! I still have to move house, decide what to keep and what to let go of; Reiki can help help me achieve a new equilibrium.

A new normal.

A new adventure and that is exciting to me.
